Lowering the Edge in Craps

edge in craps.
There are five bets in craps that you simply don’t want
to make because the house edge is too high. They are Any 7 which
has a house edge of almost 17%, Craps 2 and Craps 12 which have
house edges of almost 14%, Horn which has a house edge of over
12%, Big 6 and Big 8 which have house edges of just over 9%
and The Field which has a house edge of more than 5%.
The only four bets you should be making are Pass, Don’t
Pass, Come and Don’t Come. There are no other bets that
should be getting your money. The house edge on each of these
bets is less than 2% and you can lower that percentage if you
take odds. The Odds Bet is another bet you can make after the
point has been set. You can take odds up to however high the
casino allows. It might be 2X or it may go all the way up to
10X. If you take 2X odds behind your bet the house edge drops
to just over a half a percent. If you could get 10X odds then
the house edge would drop to just 0.18% which is almost nothing.
Always remember to take full odds when you play online craps.
